Gray Display Wall

Walls in galleries are usually painted white, presumably so as not to distract from the art. But I’ve found that my art goes great on a gray wall - the neutrality of gray actually makes my colors pop even more. I had a chance to test this theory recently when I painted a display section on a wall in my studio gray and hung my work salon-style. I think it works quite nicely - what do you think?
